Each year we offer over 1200 Weekend Enrichment courses during the Autumn, Spring and Summer Terms. The courses are designed for able children and young people who have an aptitude for and interest in the particular course toplic. Participants need to have enquiring minds, thrive on learning, enjoy creativity, welcome academic challenge and wish to widen their horizons beyond the National Curriculum.
The Enrichment courses are stimulating, thought provoking and extend knowledge and, can also assist increasing personal and social development. The courses are usually great fun but they can be demanding and intensive!
There is an extensive range of study topics available, for students in years 3 – 12. Once a child or parent/guardian has identified a course they are interested in, a teacher from their school must endorse the application form to say they believe the child/young person is suitable for the course. Parents are advised to phone Kilve Court to check course availability.
Most weekend enrichment courses start at 5.30 pm on Friday evening and run through til Sunday afternoon, where there is usually a presentation of work to parents. A programme is sent to students approximately 2 weeks before the commencement of a course; this outlines the events of the weekend, timings and suggested things to bring
