Tim Van Eyken and Paul Cowlan
Paul Cowlan has been a professional songwriter/performer for over thirty years, and presently has eight albums of original songs, and three of poetry to his credit. After qualifying as a teacher of English and History in 1974 he went professional the following year, playing, both solo and in bands, in England and the Netherlands. In 1980 he hitch-hiked round south-east Asia, and then moved to Germany. Since then he’s played in more than fifteen countries, from New Zealand to Norway, has won prizes for his poetry, and has also tutored numerous courses in schools and arts centres. This is his fourteenth Kilve course!
Tim is a musician with a passion for traditional English Music. In 1998 he won the BBC Young Folk Award. Since then he has toured and recorded traditional English music with a well known band. He has assisted on Gifted and Talented Drama and Music courses for a few years.
