Booking a Centre
All four Centres (Kilve Court, The Outdoor Centre, Great Wood and Charterhouse Outdoor Centre) are very popular and usually heavily booked. However, to check availability, please contact our central office and staff will be happy to discuss any options we have. Details about each Centre are available from the 'Our 4 Centres' link in the menu bar on the right of the page.

The activities on offer at Kilve Court Education Centres are governed by the Somerset County Council LEA’s “Play Safe” document and, where appropriate, licensed by the Adventurous Activities Licensing Authority. Appropriately trained or qualified instructors are provided for all activities.

Scale of Charges
For groups not needing any activities, please contact our main office to discuss availability and cost. Any group also requiring activities, please see those listed above and choose which activities you would most like to do before contacting our main office. We will then discuss all your group’s needs with you and give a variety of costs depending on different itineraries.

Charges include all accommodation, food and tuition (where appropriate).

Note:
  • Where appropriate staff and other adults accompanying the group will be free of charge in the ratio 1 free to every complete 10 paying students. Additional persons will be calculated at the ‘accompanying staff rate’ and this charge will include all meals.
  • Groups usually need to bring a sleeping bag or duvet, bottom sheet, pillowcase and towel(s). However, beds can be made up for an additional charge. Group leaders will have their beds prepared by Kilve Court.
  •  All booking forms must be returned by the due date in order to retain the booking offer.
  • A DEPOSIT of £200 will be invoiced upon receipt of a signed booking form. Please note that deposits are no longer retained for any shortfall in numbers, however, it is important that you are as accurate as possible with your student estimates as this effects the activity programme, and possibly other groups who may be sharing the centre.
